Education

After receiving my Associates Degree in Arts and Sciences from Everett Community College in Fall 2017, I transferred to Central Washington University with the goal of becoming a fashion buyer. In Spring of 2020, I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Apparel, Textile and Merchandising with a minor in Retail Management & Technology and a minor in Accessibility Studies.

Personal Strengths and Values

Fashion is my passion. Whether it is a visual project or running numbers, I enjoy each and every project. A few of my personal strengths include organization, work ethic, and time management. A few of my industry strengths include creating assortment plans, trend research, and garment fit. Sustainability is a value of mine and I hope to work with companies who have goals of moving towards this direction. I also value clothing for all people, and plan to raise awareness of the benefits of adaptive clothing to help eliminate accessibility barriers in the fashion industry.

Technical Knowledge

Over the course of many projects, I have become proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. IT258 Advanced Spreadsheet Applications taught me advanced Microsoft Excel, alongside my PowerPoint and Word skills. I have experience creating assortment plans and line sheets in both Adobe and Microsoft programs and technical package and line sheet skills. More relevant courses I completed are consumer textiles, visual merchandising, and fashion trend analysis. My minor in Retail Management & Technology has given me omni-channel retail knowledge and skills to succeed as a buyer for multiple types of retail.
